The Inter Astra Institute is a non-profit with a mission:
To create and advance equitable access and opportunity for all in the business of space

The business of space isn’t solely about astronauts, scientists, and interstellar travel; it's about you, our children, and future generations. It includes traditional STEM, but it also invites the arts and design to co-create for a better world. STEM+AD
From advancements in daily technology to new job opportunities that might not exist today, space is part of everyday life and we can help shape it’s course.
Our founders are made up of astronauts, educators, business leaders, students and creatives all committed to expanding access for underestimated communities, tackling climate change and securing space for all.
And… they also know what it’s like to be outsiders.
Among us is Charles F. Bolden Jr., Marine, Attack and Test Pilot, Astronaut and 12th Administrator of NASA. Dr. Kathy Sullivan, veteran space walker and most vertical human on the planet, Our board chair Ché Bolden, Storyteller, Marine, President and CEO of The Charles F. Bolden Group. The mission is led by our Mission Director, Yami Rivas, Storycollector, Strategic Foresight, Product Leader and Design enthusiast.
We are committed to shaping a space future that is accessible, secure, and in service to life on Earth — where belonging is assumed, every voice is valued, and real opportunities are created for all, not just a select few.

The new era is well underway.
From using your phone's GPS navigation to forecasting the weather, ensuring global communication, and even enhancing medical procedures, space tech is silently at work. We are seeing partnerships in fashion and design and the space to create an ecosystem where the workforce of tomorrow is getting ready today.
As we embark on a new space age, understanding and developing these interconnections is more crucial than ever.
